I love the Laundrette. This piece was created live with my sewing machine in Eastleigh Laundrette.
The original artwork is machine embroidery with appliquéd fabrics for the colours.
Hidden within the piece are parts of conversation I lifted from the people around me.
Margaret is captured folding her knitting, ready to sell at the Christmas market, she says ‘they just dont understand the time it takes as she was thinking of prices for her little baby cardigans.
This print of the original has come out beautifully with vibrant colours and can be washed at 40 degrees.
